"Opening this summer in Mueller, this vegan cafe and wine shop is dedicated to non-dairy, house-made cheeses and plant-based meats — think tofu-based eggs, carrot lox, and vegan bacon, pepperoni and corned beef — and aims to showcase a “passion for planetary change” through its menu. Offerings will include sandwiches, salads, soups, shareable boards, and vegan grocery products; the owners will preview their cheeses and other items at the Possum Park Party on Saturday, April 13 from noon to 5 p.m. The owners, Kirsten Maitland and Fred Zwar, moved to Austin from Seattle seven years ago; Maitland is a coach with Agile Velocity and Zwar is co-founder and principal of CPM Contractors.
