"A brand-new bar to the scene, 1972 (named after the year Title IX was signed into law) is a lesbian-owned bar that celebrates all things women’s sports. While not technically a gay bar, it markets itself as open to all women’s sports fans — LGBTQ fans included. WNBA games are the queen here, but the bar also shows soccer, lacrosse, and softball games, as well as an open mic every Sunday. The bar hosts frequent sports-themed drink specials, like a specialty cocktail called the Grand Slam, and $1 wing specials.
