"After 36 years in Pike Place Market, this market pub is closing permanently. The owners cite rising food and labor costs — even ketchup has gone up 20 to 40 percent — and frame the shutdown as part of Pike Brewing’s evolution. Sharing a space inside the market on First Avenue with Pike Fish Bar, it’s pouring $4 drafts until closing on Sunday, November 30, and the closure will leave about 35 mostly part-time employees without jobs, though they’ll be paid and receive benefits until the end of the year." - Harry Cheadle
