"Originally opened in 2018 by Kyle and Lea Hunt, the beer bar relocated from Eastern Market after its lease ended and is preparing to reopen at 9301 Kercheval Avenue inside Lantern, a 22,300-square-foot former commercial bakery and arts hub developed by the team behind the Library Street Collective. Occupying about 1,400 square feet of the site, the minimalist space—part of a redesign by OMA—features skylighting, a basketball hoop, two large doors that open to a sprawling outdoor courtyard, and seating for roughly 50 inside (including 10 at the bar and tables for groups up to eight) plus 40 courtyard seats to blur the line between inside and outside in warmer months. The drink program focuses on hard-to-find brews with nine beers on tap, along with wine, ciders, nonalcoholic options, pours of Four Roses bourbon, and the playful addition of Gatorade on draft for electrolyte seekers; during the transition, staff worked across the Hunts' other spots (Two Birds, Huddle, and Easy Peasy). The team hopes to open soon pending confirmation that the liquor license has been transferred." - Serena Maria Daniels
