"Promising “good food for a good mood,” Betty’s Bistro opened in the Coronado Retail Center (replacing the Tipsy Coffee House) near Sunset Road and Medical Center Street as a casual, counter-service spot two doors down from Le Petit Café & Bakery. I found the menu runs breakfast through dinner with flavored lattes and frappes, smoothies, teas and “Betty’s home brewed coffee,” plus breakfast items like crème brûlée French toast, burritos and a “bomb breakfast sandwich.” Larger dishes—overseen by chef Lanny Chin before his move to Greene St. Kitchen at the Palms—include pizza, pasta, salads, panini, wraps and sandwiches, and bowls such as the “Mediterranean vegan” (tomatoes, artichokes, olives, chickpeas topped with arugula over brown rice) and a “peppercorn crusted steak bowl” (bell peppers, broccoli, pickled red onions and homemade balsamic glaze)." - Bradley Martin
