"A 5,600-square-foot production space and new Brighton outpost is set to open at 100 Holton St., near Star Market, with the shop slated to begin service at 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 7 — look for it at bay four on the backside of the building. The doughnut shop, which already operates locations in Boston’s South End and Fenway and in Cambridge’s Harvard Square, teased the impending opening on social media and says the expansion will give Blackbird more capacity to produce doughnuts for its growing number of stores; that growth may free the original South End production space for some “fun stuff,” according to a Facebook teaser promising more details later.
