"In what might be a first for Southern California, a fast-casual restaurant opened in Long Beach's 2nd & PCH complex designed to accommodate those with severe food allergies; Noble Bird Rotisserie, which opened in late December, has a building and kitchen completely free of dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, and mustard. This is owner Sidney Price's first restaurant — inspired by his sons' life-threatening food allergies that kept the family from dining out — and every dish comes with a complete list of ingredients. The menu was developed by chef Andrew Bice (formerly of Border Grill, Ivory on Sunset, and Blue Plate Oysterette) and centers on sustainably sourced, pasture-raised rotisserie chicken brined for 24 hours and served in two flavors: lemon herb and spicy gochugaru. Sides include sweet and sour eggplant, blueberry black rice, and rotisserie potatoes, while Price curated local beers, wines, and lemonades for beverages. Both Price and Bice acknowledge cross-contamination may be impossible to avoid entirely, so they don't promise Noble Bird will suit the most sensitive diners but hope it can help those trying to eat out; hours are Sunday–Thursday 11 a.m.–10 p.m. and Friday–Saturday 11 a.m.–11 p.m." - Mona Holmes
