"Over its run, Corner Table was actually several different restaurants: it began under chef/owner Scott Pampuch as a groundbreaking farm-to-table operation hosting unforgettable farm dinners and intimate kitchen-focused dinners; after a change in ownership it later found new life and wide acclaim under Thomas Boemer and Nick Rancone, who rose from relative unknowns to national attention while expanding into Revival (fried chicken), barbecue, and the all-fire cooking of In Bloom—with Boemer’s refined cuisine reshaping how the city thinks about pork belly and Rancone bringing obscure, exciting wines. Later stewardship by chef Karyn Tomlinson kept the food shining, but uneven service, the lure of new projects, and nearby road construction took a toll. The restaurant closed on a high note, with sold-out tables and many toasts to an impressive run." - Joy Summers
