"One of the city’s top pho parlors is expanding the bounds of Vietnamese cuisine in NYC with the opening of a restaurant focused on a genre not yet seen here: Vietnamese barbecue. Owners Yen Vo and chef Jimmy Ly are introducing Vietnamese barbecue, a tradition reserved for weddings and special celebrations in Vietnam, to New Yorkers. The restaurant will offer a seven-course beef tasting including dishes like lime-juice-dressed beef salad, beef wrapped in betel leaf, and beef grilled with scallion, and will feature electric infrared grills similar to those used at Japanese barbecue restaurant Takashi." - Stefanie Tuder
