"From San Diego–based Showa Hospitality, which also runs Taco Stand and Himitsu Sushi, this new ramen restaurant at UCSD features a variety of ramen styles—shoyu, shio, miso, and tonkotsu—along with a vegan version and a summer-ready hayashi chuka (a chilled, soup-less ramen); the menu also includes appetizers, salads, and rice bowls, and the group says it isn’t currently planning to open more ramen shops beyond the UCSD location while it gears up to unveil a Tokyo-styled cocktail bar on Convoy." - Candice Woo
