"I found a dimly lit drink-and-dinner destination along Wilshire Boulevard that’s being billed as Beverly Hills’ growing whiskey library: The Double Barrel soft-opens this week with a grand reveal set for September 12. Owned by Deep Sethi and bringing over Saddle Peak’s chef Adam Horton, it occupies the former Nirvana site just west of La Cienega and will be mostly reserved for whiskey-room members (with walk-ins available nightly). The plan emphasizes dark woods, leather seating, and expensive bottles, pairing a focus on rare spirits with classic drinking dishes such as burgers, beef tartare, and lamb chops; hours run 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. most nights and extend to 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday." - Farley Elliott
