"The new outside catering company and adjoining private dining room in Hackney Wick, launched by the two founders of the Exmouth Market restaurant and its tapas offshoot, aims to offer an alternative to ordinary corporate-style catering for special dinners, family celebrations, weddings, canapé receptions, corporate functions and festivals. The group’s food draws on Spanish, North African and Middle Eastern traditions, with recent Cretan influences introduced under head chef Marianna Leivaditaki; catering packages are priced around £35–£50 per person. The Hackney Wick venue, designed by Danish designer Nina Tolstrup of Studiomama, accommodates up to 50 seated guests or 75 for a drinks reception and features a terrace overlooking the River Lea and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It will also host one-off ticketed events in the space, launching with an exclusive mangal-style dinner hosted by the founders and Leivaditaki, where drinks are served on the terrace, food is cooked over open fire and guests move indoors for a sit-down meal." - Adam Coghlan
