"After a six-month closure caused by damage from an electrical fire, the Northeast sandwich counter that has drawn customers for 12 years with rosy pink slices of top round and other cold cuts is set to reopen Friday, February 7 at 905 Brentwood Ave NE. Owner Ryan Zaritsky used the downtime to develop several new sandwiches — including a steak and cheese, a double smashburger with patties made from top round and brisket, a Reuben featuring corned beef cured by the shop, and a salmon Caesar wrap — and is offering promotions at reopening: the first 25 customers starting at 11 a.m. get a free sandwich, and first responders receive a free sandwich and a drink." - Gabe Hiatt
