A ‘70s-Styled Bar Brings a Bottomless Narragansett Brunch to Brookland - Eater DC

"The Runaway is a new bar in Brookland, opened by the crew behind Slash Run. It features a live music venue, a vinyl-driven DJ booth, a dining room, and a back patio with string lights. The menu includes Creekstone Farms beef patties, a bottomless Narragansett brunch, local spirits, and vegan wings, alongside unique items like the Cherry Bomb burger with brie. The bar pays homage to the female band The Runaways and offers a special Joan Jett burger with spinach and artichoke dip in a black brioche bun. On weekends, customers can enjoy a two-hour stream of mimosas, micheladas, bloody marys, or Narragansett with the purchase of a brunch item. The bar also features a rotating list of eight drafts, including ciders from San Diego’s Newtopia Cyder and New England’s Artifact Project, and brews from Maryland’s Mustang Sally and Maine Beer Company.
