"Opened as the restaurant’s first standalone outpost in Little River and named after Nguyen’s grandfather, the compact 20-seat spot draws inspiration from the family’s hometown in Hanoi and offers several variations of traditional bánh mì sandwiches, pho soups, broken rice and vermicelli noodle bowls, plus salads with protein options like Vietnamese grilled marinated pork, lemongrass sausage, and lemongrass braised beef stew. Shareable plates include shrimp spring rolls, pork and shrimp imperial rolls, and pork and shrimp Saigon crepes, while drinks lean into nostalgia — their take on traditional Vietnamese iced coffee is an ode to Nguyen’s childhood memories of drinking Nesquik strawberry milk. The 750-square-foot space, designed by Nguyen with interior designer Mark Alan Diaz and inspired by the “soul of an immigrant family’s home,” features red and yellow circular design elements, small seating areas, and a noodle bar with counter seating that looks into the open kitchen. The restaurant offers limited indoor and outdoor dining, takeout, and delivery, with the full menu available for contactless pick-up through a window counter, and is open Monday–Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m." - Olee Fowler
