Patty’s Tamales opens close to UNLV | Eater Vegas

"Specializing in a single dish, Patty’s Tamales has expanded from its original, three-year-old Sunrise location into a 1,200-square-foot space in the University Gardens retail center across Maryland Parkway from UNLV, replacing the long-shuttered El Santaneco restaurant; I appreciate that it stays open long hours and keeps its commitment to catering events and family occasions. The succinct tamale menu mirrors the 5061 E. Sahara Ave. location and offers a “not spicy” red chicken plus spicy options of red pork, green chicken, and cheese with peppers, priced at $2.25 each, $13.58 for six, and $27 for a dozen. I also noticed it joins fellow international options Stephano’s Greek & Mediterranean Grill and the French-Vietnamese Mr Sandwich at the retail hub. The new location is at 4632 S.
