"Moving into a permanent Beverly Grove space in late March, I’m excited that Avi Ahdoot’s pandemic-era sandwich pop-up will offer breakfast and lunch from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with dinner to be added later). In the morning there will be a full breakfast lineup including a new breakfast burrito, coffee, and matcha; for lunch expect a slate of Carla Cafe’s most popular sandwiches like the TikTok favorite tuna chop and the garlic aioli chicken, plus additional new items exclusive to the new shop. Carla Cafe began in May 2020 after Ahdoot’s girlfriend posted a photo of a sandwich he made, and it grew from private Instagram orders to staffed pickups through a window at Bootsy Bellows and a same-day menu run out of Colony Cooks, and window graphics are already up at the new location." - Rebecca Roland
