"Located at 159 East Flagler Street, I found Vinaigrette Sub Shop—Danny Serfer and Ryan Roman’s new Downtown Miami all-day sub shop—offers a menu split into classics, vegetarian/vegan, Italian specialties, and salads. The classics stick to simple proteins like roast beef, turkey, ham, and tuna salad with traditional sub toppings (cheese, veggies) alongside fancier add-ons such as mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, piquillo peppers, truffled pecorino, or pimiento cheese; each sandwich is finished with the namesake vinaigrette, a blend of oil, vinegar, Calabrian chiles, Pecorino Romano, herbs and spices that Serfer spent months “perfecting.” Italian specialties include an Italian combo with French ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone, tomato, lettuce, spicy Calabrian chile mayo and vinaigrette, and a Calabrian Salami and Scarmoza Cheese sub with pickled peppers, lettuce, mayo and vinaigrette. Vegetarian and vegan options are plentiful, from the Veggie AF with Italian artichokes, piquillo peppers, pickled carrots and vinaigrette to a Chickpea sub topped with cumin, paprika, red onion, Dijon mustard and vinaigrette. Salad offerings include a Bibb Lettuce with spinach, provolone, radish and vinaigrette and a traditional antipasto with iceberg, roasted peppers, tomatoes, Genoa salami, provolone, olives and vinaigrette. The shop officially opens Wednesday, June 26, will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., delivery begins July 3, and orders can be placed online or by calling 786-558-5989." - Olee Fowler
