"I'm reporting that Stoney’s North Forty will take over 13,000 square feet at 4949 North Rancho Drive inside Santa Fe Station Casino this summer as a country bar featuring country music, live performances, a mechanical bull, and plenty of room for line dancing and two-steppin’. I note the venue will include a 2,300-square-foot outdoor pergola with a central fireplace, a beer pong area, interactive games, and ample seating. Nearly 15 years after the original North Forty closed at the off-Strip casino, the Stoney’s brand is making another run in the northwest: it first debuted in 2007 near the South Point, expanded to the Santa Fe a year later before closing in 2009, and reopened in 2012 as Stoney’s Rockin’ Country at Town Square (briefly operating as Las Vegas Bull Cowboy Town for about six months before reclaiming its name). Chris Lowden, president of Porchlight Hospitality Group (also behind the recently opened Vic’s jazz bar), says he feels there is a great untapped market for them in the northwest. Stoney’s North Forty will be open seven days a week starting at 4 p.m." - Janna Karel
