"Bar Victor, the chic drinking den that shuttered in Montrose last year, will officially reopen its doors in time for Memorial Day weekend. The bar announced its return under new management in a Facebook post on Tuesday, noting that it will sling its first cocktails in more than a year starting on Friday, May 22. “Bar Victor is under new management and we cannot wait to meet you,” the post reads. “We have some added some cool touches to the space, and best of all, we have a divine new cocktail menu.” Bar Victor closed in April of last year after opening in January 2018. When it closed, the bar’s owners said that they would “set their sights on new goals,” and continue to operate La Villa, the French restaurant not too far away on Montrose Boulevard. La Villa has since closed. Like all other bars opening on May 22, which is the earliest that bars can open under Governor Greg Abbott’s Open Texas plan, Bar Victor will enforce a 25 percent capacity limit indoors. The bar’s patio will be “available for all, as long as social distance is respected,” according to the post. When it debuts on Friday, Bar Victor will be open from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m." - Amy McCarthy
