"A popular chain known for exceptionally crisp Korean fried chicken is set to open a location in Houston; permits filed with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission list the spot at 8383 Westheimer Road, Suite 114. The restaurant — which already has Texas outposts in Katy, Dallas–Fort Worth and Austin and reportedly has plans to expand to around 50,000 locations worldwide — serves both boneless and bone-in chicken that is marinated, battered and fried in a two-day process before being finished with sauces like sweet-and-spicy or honey-garlic. The menu also includes “Cupbob” bulgogi and short-rib bibimbap bowls served in cups, plus snacks such as fried cheese sticks, takoyaki, tteokbokki and waffle fries. No official opening date has been announced, though a post on the chain’s Facebook page indicates a September debut." - Amy McCarthy
