"SF specialty coffee roaster Sightglass is expanding to parts south, taking up residence in LA with an all-day restaurant, bakery, and cold brew coffee making facility (which means more cold stuff in SF, too). The spot is the Sycamore Media Arts District in Hollywood, and their culinary director arrives from SF, too: It’s Brett Cooper, known for his work at Outerlands and his Michelin-starred restaurant Aster, which he closed to move south this year. Some stuff to be jealous of: At Sightglass LA, he’ll make Roman-style pizza on naturally leavened dough, and focus, as usual on veggies. As Eater LA notes, it’s right near an upcoming location of SF’s Tartine, making the area something like LA’s little SF district." - Caleb Pershan
