Best Restaurants to Road Trip to From Dallas | Eater Dallas

"Should you drive all the way to Marfa to eat Italian food? Yes. Michael Anthony Serva is one of the finalists in the Best Chef: Texas category for the James Beard Awards in 2025, and the faded facade of this place is a bit of misdirection for the freshness inside. The pastas are stone-milled and freshly made, the sandwiches incorporate bread cooked on a wood fire, and only the finest olive oils will be drizzled on the plate. It serves as a restaurant and a deli, open for lunch from Thursday until Sunday, until sold out. The dining room is small and includes rustic pantry shelves stocked with staples. Like much of Marfa, it is a vibe unto itself." - Courtney E. Smith
