"A neighborhood hit since debuting in 2018, this Thai bistro is expanding to Summerlin by taking a compact 1,432-square-foot suite at the Vista Commons retail center (replacing a former vitamin store) just steps from China A Go Go and Mark Rich’s NY Pizza at the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Desert Foothills Drive. The new location will seat about 44 diners indoors and add a roughly 400-square-foot outdoor patio; permits filed predict daily hours of 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (closing at 9 p.m. on Sundays), though an opening date has not been announced. Known for a lengthy, loyal-followed menu, it serves weekday lunch specials, salads, tom yum and tom kha soups, noodles, a range of curries including crispy duck and pumpkin, and entrees such as deep-fried catfish, grilled whole squid, “crying tiger” beef and lamb chops topped with a roasted Thai chili sauce. The expansion follows earlier plans to open in Skye Canyon Marketplace, a vacancy now occupied by another Thai spot." - Bradley Martin
