"Decatur-based Mexican pan dulce bakery La Calavera is relocating to the Kirkwood neighborhood on Memorial Drive. Known for sweet breads like concha, marranitos, and sprouted and super sourdough breads, the bakery expects overlap between the Decatur and Kirkwood shops through September before the Memorial Drive shop becomes its sole location. The new location will eventually offer more prepared foods, a cold pastry case, and outdoor seating. Their Mexican molletes Sunday breakfasts will continue at the new shop. Customers select pastries on a tray and pay at the counter. The bakery also sells coffee and offers limited seating inside." - Beth McKibben
