"Located on Cheshire Bridge Road, the restaurant suffered a major fire that was initially reported as a grass fire but was found by firefighters to have flames shooting through the roof and on the patio; crews launched an aggressive attack and quickly knocked down the blaze with no injuries. The building sustained substantial damage but may not be a total loss, and officials are still investigating the cause while reviewing security-camera footage to pinpoint where the fire began. Owned by Oscar and Marta Valdivieso and operating for more than 20 years, the long-standing spot serves a range of Mexican to Colombian dishes and is known as a longtime advocate and supporter of Atlanta’s LGBTQ community, employing many from the community and regularly hosting and sponsoring events, groups, and sports leagues." - Beth McKibben
