"Chef Wedchayan “Deau” Arpapornnopparat is opening a Santa Monica outpost at 2828 Santa Monica Boulevard, slated for late February or early March, bringing Bangkok-style Thai food to the neighborhood. The operation began as a food stall in a Fashion District food hall serving Thai-style street food like pad see ew and gra pow before expanding to a full-service space in Atwater Village. In Atwater, the menu is more robust with dishes such as scallops on the half-shell, crudo, and crab fried rice; the forthcoming Santa Monica location will hew closer to the Atwater Village menu while also offering neighborhood specials." - Rebecca Roland
