"In the storied Beacon Hill space that housed No. 9 Park for decades, this new fine-dining restaurant from restaurateur Allan Rodriguez is set to open Friday, August 15 with three menus—a seasonal tasting, an a la carte, and a bar menu—and reservations available for August 20 and beyond. Chef de cuisine Andrew Simonich, who started here as an intern in 2019 and later ran No. 9 Park until its 2024 closing, keeps classic French and Italian techniques as the base while broadening influences across the Mediterranean and Europe. Guests can expect beloved staples like steak tartare, a steak, and perfectly cooked duck; a fresh pasta program he prizes (uni spaghetti with squid ink oil and compound uni butter, and chicken tortellini with mushroom ragu); plus new a la carte and bar dishes such as a burger with a foie gras–infused bun for those grabbing a quick bite before a show, alongside a very seasonal, ever-changing $180 tasting menu. Desserts and pastry, including a soufflé, come from Brandon Wells (formerly of Deuxave). The room is lighter and brighter after a redesign by Lorenzo Lorniali and Federica Di Biase of Adige Design, with original brick arches now exposed to bring more light into the back dining space." - Tanya Edwards
