Acclaimed Thai Restaurant Holy Basil Just Opened in Santa Monica | Eater LA
"Chef Mei Lin will join pizza pop-up Caro Mio and its chef, Jackson Baugh, for a one-night-only collaboration on December 13 at Maury’s in Silver Lake. Baugh and Lin first met on the fourth season of Food Network’s Tournament of Champions, which Lin went on to win. The pop-up will kick off at 6 p.m. and is first-come, first-served, so plan to arrive early if you want to secure a pie. Expect specials like a char siu “al pastor” pizza with queso Oaxaca and pineapple, as well as Xinjiang lamb sausage pizza with cumin-laden sausage and herbed labneh." - Rebecca Roland
