"A recently renovated Valley deli that has lost its emerald green vinyl banquettes and sagging ceiling tiles; the tiles were removed to create a much taller ceiling, producing a room that feels less classic Valley deli and more retirement home hangout, which will read differently depending on one's tastes. Most changes appear cosmetic; sandwiches remain reliable and on par with other good Jewish delis in town. A particular highlight is a smoked salmon stack of latkes pasted with cream cheese and topped with poached eggs — the yolks become the perfect sauce to bind together the crispy potato pancakes and the gelatinous fish, which thankfully wasn't overly salted. Compared against Brent's and Art's as top-tier Valley delis, this spot is noted for being never busy and never fussy, and there's a neighboring bakery offering rugelach to-go." - Eater Staff
