"Opened in 2021 on the ground floor of Oceanside’s Mission Pacific Beach Resort facing the pier, this modern Mexican restaurant delivers an eight-course tasting menu where chef Roberto Alcocer reinterprets Baja cuisine—Mexican cooking with an emphasis on fresh seafood, influences from Japan and the Mediterranean, and grilled and wood-fire preparations. Alcocer riffs on tamales, incorporates sourdough into tortillas, and honors traditions with upscale takes on barbacoa and carne asada, pairing courses with Mexican wine from Valle de Guadalupe, including vintages from his own winery.
