Blue Bottle Coffee’s New Union Market Cafe Opens March 4 | Eater DC

"Opening Sunday, March 4 at 7 a.m. across from Union Market, Blue Bottle's second D.C. location at 1250 Fourth Street NE is a California-based combination cafe and local training facility scheduled to begin pouring its gourmet java. Customers who visit between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 can claim one free cup of coffee as part of Blue Bottle’s standard “community day,” during which proceeds from any on-site sales will be donated to nonprofit partner charity: water. The Union Market outpost is projected to operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week; Blue Bottle put down roots in Georgetown last July and is projected to open a third location at the newly renovated Wharf this spring." - Warren Rojas
