"Lucky Star at Star Metals in West Midtown has created quite the buzz around Atlanta. The Taiwanese cafe cocktail bar comes from chef Jason Liang and John Chen from Michelin-starred Brush, Momonoki, and Momo Cafe. It serves breakfast pastries beginning at 8 a.m. and transitions to noodle soups, sandwiches, and scallion pancakes for lunch and dinner. There are high expectations from Liang and Chen, though the food and cocktail menu needs to find its sea legs. Only a select few cocktails are available each night (those underlined on the online menu), and the food is meant for small bites, except the beef noodle soup, which is a large serving. Vibey and loungey, every seat was full on a recent Thursday night, even as the menu (hopefully) works out its kinks." - Henna Bakshi
