"Flooding the zone is a family affair for the Kevin Taylor Restaurant Group (KTRG), which will launch Masa Cocina Mexicana – its second Arista Broomfield eatery in two years –this November. The modern Oaxacan-style taqueria is the follow-up act to Hickory & Ash, a meat-heavy concept that opened in the master-planned community under the direction of Ryan Taylor – Kevin Taylor’s son – in 2017. Inspired by the chef’s travels throughout Mexico and a fascination with international street food, Masa will serve contemporary dishes rooted in tradition. The 3,200-square-foot space has a youthful air, seating 130 inside. Polished red concrete floors create a volcanic glow beneath the bamboo tables, accented by bold tiles and handcrafted Oaxacan lanterns.
