Charleston Yeti Store/Bar Opens in June | Eater Carolinas

"Opening on Friday, June 14 at 360 King Street, this retail-bar hybrid specializes in high-end coolers and outdoor gear and features an in-store bar serving craft beer, wine, coffee, and snacks—inviting customers to enjoy a drink while considering a summertime purchase (some coolers retail around $1,300). Designed to be a local gathering spot, the space will host live entertainment, film screenings, and workshops. To celebrate the opening, tacos from Austin’s Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ will be served on June 14; on June 15 James Beard Award–winning pitmaster Sam Jones will be on site to sign his new book Whole Hog BBQ: The Gospel of Carolina Barbecue; and on June 16 the store will auction custom-painted coolers to benefit Charleston Waterkeeper—plus dads who make a purchase that weekend get a complimentary beer for Father’s Day." - Erin Perkins
