"This Old Town Alexandria coffee shop has been roasting its own beans on King Street since 1991. There are plenty of fun flavors to add to your coffee here, with seasonal “barista’s picks” like oatmeal cookie, raspberry mocha, and pistachio. There are also plenty of sweet treats, like towering layer cakes, donuts, and scones. The three-year-old second location down by the waterfront has a rooftop patio with views of the Potomac and cocktail hours from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, plus noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday." - Tierney Plumb, Emily Venezky
