Penny’s Noodle Shop Plans to Reopen Wrigleyville Restaurant | Eater Chicago

"I noticed a sign on the door at 3400 N. Sheffield Avenue announcing that Penny’s Noodle Shop will “come back soon!” — the longtime North Side mini-chain that pioneered Thai-style noodle and rice dishes for many Chicagoans. This is planned to reopen in the former Wrigleyville spot (which became Paul’s Noodle Shop in 2014 before that location shuttered in late May). Penny’s had closed its last city location in April (its Diversey Parkway outpost at 950 W. Diversey Parkway) while suburban locations have remained open; management has not yet responded to requests for more information." - Daniel Gerzina
