Trevi Restaurant on Las Vegas Strip Abruptly Closes at the Forum Shops | Eater Vegas
"In the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace I knew Trevi as a restaurant prized less for its pasta or gelato than for its central location and immersive ancient Roman theming; it sat just inside the shops from the casino floor with tables strewn across the mall’s faux cobblestone walkway among fallen column ruins that doubled as benches, beneath a painted sky and under statues and the shadow of the Fountain of the Gods. The restaurant abruptly closed on Monday, March 25 after its lease expired; Scott Marshall, senior vice president and COO of Landry’s, said the space was leased to a retailer, that they wanted to remain open but could not, and that employees are being temporarily relocated to sister properties while the group hopes to relocate to another site. Within the ropes and stanchions there were a few dozen simple chairs and tables where diners could order Italian fare—appetizers like crispy arancini and breaded mozzarella; pastas such as pappardelle bolognese and penne puttanesca; brick oven pizzas; entrees like eggplant parmesan, crispy-skin salmon, and mushroom risotto; and in-house gelato served both in the restaurant and at a walk-up counter.
