"I learned that Post Oak Denver, which opened June 26 at 4000 Tennyson Street by Texas native Nick Prince after more than 20 years in Colorado, aims to bring a taste of home to Denver with smoked meats, homemade sides, and a full bar. The kitchen uses only post oak wood delivered from Austin, Texas, and the menu features brisket, turkey, pulled pork, St. Louis-style ribs, chicken, and sausage. Prince, who previously worked in banking, honed his barbecue skills at state competitions. The restaurant pours nine beers on tap including Texas staples Shiner Bock and Shiner Seasonal, the full bar offers more than 60 whiskeys (10 from Texas), and it also sells Topo Chico. It is open Tuesday–Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday–Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m." - Erin Perkins
