"The restaurant, owned by Atlanta caterer Alice Wong, serves a variety of ramen and teppanyaki plates as well as sandos, baos, spring rolls, wings, and rice bowls on its menu. Wong serves as Hotto Hotto’s executive chef. 11 types of ramen are available on the menu like the classic tonkotsu served with braised pork belly and minced chicken and a spicy seafood ramen containing shrimp, mussels, squid, and kamaboko or fish cakes along with brothless ramen such as a barbecue chashu and a bowl served with teppanyaki chicken slices drizzled with peanut sauce. Beyond ramen, the menu includes a selection of grilled meats (teppanyaki) served with a choice of steamed jasmine rice or teppan fried rice, a selection of sandos (Japanese cutlet sandwiches), steamed rice bowls, and small plates like taro fritters, sweet and savory Japanese fried wings, and lettuce wraps. Many dishes are vegetarian, vegan, or gluten free. In addition to cocktails such as a matcha green tea martini, Hopstix owner and brewmaster Andy Tan partnered with Wong to provide Asian-style beers for the restaurant. Hotto Hotto also features an indoor-outdoor bar and patio. Hotto Hotto is currently open through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant will eventually serve both lunch and dinner." - Beth McKibben
