"Opening on 6 November as a 50-cover restaurant at 15 Frith Street in Soho, this new spot channels Singapore’s hawker dining culture under the guidance of restaurateur Ellen Chew, head chef Lynette Zheng, and operator Willin Low. Its flagship is the Roxy laksa, a family recipe that began trading outside the Roxy Theatre in the 1950s and later moved to East Coast Lagoon Food Centre and Timbre+; the dish is a forerunner of Katong laksa, notable for shortened noodles and a broth thickened with ground dried shrimp. The menu also focuses on authentic hawker classics, including bak chor mee (noodles in a chilli–vinegar sauce with minced pork, pork belly, pork liver and pork balls), chwee kueh rice cakes, and brunch kaya toast, aiming to recreate a true Singaporean street-food experience in central London." - James Hansen
