"I found brunch and boozy cocktails come together at the new spot on S. Rainbow Boulevard near Russell Road in Spring Valley, where chef Jhon Castro and the Umbrella Consulting Team offer breakfast staples with a twist and customizable bloody Marys. The breakfast menu features a pancake board with fruit, jams, chocolate, and marshmallows, bananas Foster French toast, a pork belly omelet, and a frittata of the day, plus a roster of eggs Benedict renditions, chicken and waffles, a breakfast burrito, and chilaquiles. Vegans have options too, including a vegan omelet, vegan crab Benedict, corned hash made with Unreal Deli corned beef, and chilaquiles, while the lunch menu includes a turkey club, a pork belly BLT, an eight-ounce burger with cheddar and a fried egg, a vegan Reuben, a veggie portobello panini, and salads. For dessert there are Hawaiian bread doughnuts and coconut panna cotta. On the boozy side, cocktails range from a butterfly tea and lavender drink to a bourbon with espresso and coconut and a POG (pineapple, orange, guava) tea cocktail served in a vintage teacup garnished with fresh flowers, and a bloody Mary cart lets diners mix up custom bloody Marys table-side; the restaurant is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with online ordering available." - Susan Stapleton
