"This Midtown Vietnamese-meets-New Orleans seafood restaurant announced on Instagram that it will ditch single-use plastic straws as part of an effort to be more environmentally friendly; there's no word yet on whether they’ll replace them with paper or metal. Some commenters on the post asked that Bon Ton keep a few plastic straws available for people living with disabilities who need the flexibility those straws provide for eating and drinking, and Eater.com recently ran a piece by Alice Wong urging restaurants to do the same." - Beth McKibben
