For Philadelphia’s Honeysuckle Projects, Community Comes First - Eater Philly
"Honeysuckle Provisions — a grocery store and takeout spot founded by chefs Cybille St.Aude-Tate and Omar Tate — is set to open in West Philly this September. The store will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and features a menu with items such as hoagies incorporating West African benne seeds and turkey from Smith Poultry, a Black-owned farm. The mission is to trace almost everything back to a lineage of Black food, offering grocery staples and a takeout menu that celebrates Black farmers and foodways.
