"Flowing Tide Pub has taken over the former Cozy’s Tavern on Decatur Boulevard, not far from The Orleans and the intersection with Tropicana Avenue. FTP, as it also calls itself, already operates four locations in Reno and the move to Las Vegas includes video gaming, a pool table, outdoor seating, and a full menu. A nautical theme has been added to the tavern interior, featuring portholes, seafaring murals, and the promise of “grub and “grog.” On the casual American menu, appetizers such as a $6.99 grilled cauliflower prepared with mild spices, the $9.99 ahi poke and the $7.99 “Tider Tots,” upgraded with garlic butter and green onions. “Tide Specialties” include nachos, a seafood pan roast, Pacific salmon and the $10.99 fish and chips, battered in San Adams Boston Lager, plus a range of sandwiches, sliders, burgers, and pasta. Breakfast is served daily from midnight to 11 a.m., including chicken fried steak, omelets, griddle choices, and the $12.99 steaks and eggs." - Bradley Martin
