"In Lower Greenville, a little European vacation has arrived: Cafe Duro has expanded its cafe offerings—coffee, pastries, pizzetta, panini and imported goods—by adding a small wine shop curated by Duro Hospitality’s director of wine and beverage, Nicole Nowlin. The selection, which co-founder Chas Martin says was discovered while “casting a wide net,” is organized not by region but by playful pairings (for example, Rich and Sexy Whites versus Textural Interesting Whites) and accompanied by ten-word tag descriptions that encourage a “trust us and try it” vibe; staff behind the counter give confident, consistent pairing advice. The 800-square-foot space currently carries about 100 bottles with plans to expand, and the shop will also run a multi-tiered wine club—Duro Explorer ($145), Duro Collector ($275) and the “Trust Us” club ($499)—sourced from a wide range of regions, flavor profiles and price points." - Courtney E.
