"Between about 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m., multiple people with crowbars and full face masks allegedly broke into the Indian street food spot Desi Galli, causing a smashed door, a broken cash register and stolen funds; owner PriaVanda Chouhan estimated $2,000–$3,000 in damage, said she is a person of color who supports every race and that “this doesn’t help George and Black Lives Matter” and is hurting mom-and-pop businesses, and spent Monday cleaning up and documenting the damage before reopening as a grocery and takeout/delivery spot." - Erika Adams
