The 38 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles

"Born as a pandemic pop-up on the porch of Aaron Lindell and Hannah Ziskin’s Glendale home, Quarter Sheets opened in the former Trencher space in 2022 and has gained a cult-like following for its crispy, well-sauced, pan-style pizzas. While Lindell takes charge of the pizzas, Ziskin is a cake whiz, whipping up layered slab cakes and princess cakes, alongside other rotating desserts. At first, the tight dining room was walk-in only, but these days the restaurant takes reservations, making securing a table marginally easier. If dining in on a Wednesday or Sunday, watch out for the bar pies, a rotating thin-crust pizza that has been topped in the past with the likes of bacon, Chinese eggplant, and gravy. Even if getting a table isn’t in the cards, it’s an essential LA experience to hunch over Quarter Sheets slices, balancing box in one hand and a glass of wine in the other, on the corner of Sunset and Portia. — Rebecca Roland, associate editor" - Eater Staff
