Sonic Restaurant in Dearborn Starts Slinging Halal-Certified Food - Eater Detroit
"The forthcoming Detroit outpost of Woodpile BBQ Shack isn’t even open yet and the restaurant is already expanding. Real estate firm Colliers International announced today in that the restaurant has leased an additional 1,060 square feet of space at 6402 Woodward Ave. in Milwaukee Junction. The added space will be devoted to a bar (something that was already part of the original plans for the restaurant), according to a release. Co-owner Scott Moloney told Eater in January that the Detroit location of Woodpile BBQ Shack would likely open sometime in the fall. A third restaurant and commissary kitchen is also headed to Madison Heights this summer." - Brenna Houck
