"This tagged-up food truck in the Hawthorn Asylum cart pod may look more like a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater level than a chip shop, but the fish they fry inside is among the best in the city. Luxurious portions of rockfish, cod, and other seasonal catches come out of the fryer golden on the outside and perfectly tender within, and the same can be said for the skin-on fries. The menu has some interesting diversions like double-battered “burnt tails” and bouillabaisse, but unless you’re feeling particularly adventurous, a basket of true cod and pepper fries is the way to go." - Ben Coleman
